We would remind al band Secretaries that the closing date for entries for the Irish Championship contest is Friday 13th September. Entries will still be accepted after that date up to the 20th September at a double entry fee. 

Also the closing date for Transfers and Registrations for bands playing on the 12th October is Saturday 14th September and for bands playing on the 19th October the closing date for Transfers and Registrations is the 21st September.

Yesterday, our Summer parks program concluded in Botanic Gardens with Lord Londonderry's own CLB Concert Flute Band Dungannon Silver and Ballygowan Concert Flute Band .



The rain stayed away and the audience enjoyed a wide variety of music.

3:10pm - Dungannon Silver

The officers and members of the North of Ireland Bands Association are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mr Robert Gourley, son of our esteemed President, Dougie. Robert played in the Ulster Hall in Ballygowan band's World Championship winning performance of Tannhauser overture in 1990. He later emigrated to Canada, but never forgot his roots in Ballygowan. The members of the NIBA extend their deepest sympathies to his wife Veronica, sons Adam and James, father Dougie and the wider family circle.
