It's with deep regret that I have to inform the Association of the passing of our highly esteemed Vice President, Bill Clements. Bill passed away early this morning in hospital after his condition took a turn for the worse. Bill was also a former Association Chairman only standing down at our AGM in March due to his ill health. He was also the Association Secretary for a long number of years and was well know across the band movement. Sincere sympathy to his wife, Isobel who has also served on the NIBA Executive for a long number of years and also to his son Mark and daughters Celine and Clare and the entire family circle. Bill was also the conductor of 1st Larne Old Boys Silver band and the Castlewellan Accordion Band to them and his many friends and family we offer our deepest sympathy.

Congratulations to all the bands who took part yesterday at the BBNI's first Spring Festival at the Strule Arts Centre.

Thank you so much to our adjudicator, Duncan Beckley, Fermanagh and Omagh Distract Council and Bob Quick with Together in Music. Thanks as well to all the theatre staff and everyone else who helped us behind the scenes (Craig and Andy with percussion and Paul in the rehearsal rooms). Thanks to CIWC Ent. Ltd. for the use of the van. We really appreciate all the help we received (apologies if I have forgotten anyone)!

Thanks aswell to everyone who took part in the event and those who travelled to support their friends and family. We really loved getting to see you all in person😍
