A happy new year to all our member bands. Looking forward to a good year for banding after a couple of difficult years with the pandemic and the loss of our stalwart chairman, Bill Clements.
Some good things to note during 2022 with the visit to Armagh by the Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band being a real highlight. The Championship contest in Armagh showed an increase on the bands taking part from the previous year and the Association would encourage all of our members bands to consider taking part in 2023.
The contest in 2023 will be held on the Market Place Theatre on Saturdays 14th and 21st October. The Association is currently engaging adjudicators and pushing forward with the Championship contest arrangements.

The Executive committee of the NIBA presented Isobel Clements with a cut glass vase on an inscribed base in memory of her husband, Bill, and in recognition of his many years of service to the Association as both Secretary and Chairman. Bill sadly passed away earlier this year. The photograph shows the presentation being made to Isobel Clements by the Chairman of the NIBA , Mr Ian McGimpsey.
